I have a split interest in both analytical
skills like math/science and artistic skills like design.
-
I am experienced in real world problem solving
as I have worked on my car for over 3 years and on my bike for 5 years.
-
I am good at looking at things with an outside
perspective that is non-biased.
-
I’m a good team player/leader as I have been on
teams all my life such as in sports and academic teams.
-
I’m very good at researching new concept and
staying up to date with new products and developments in areas such as
technology, cars, and sports equipment.
My first interviewee is my mom, and something she really
points out is my passion for learning about new subjects. It is something I do that I don’t really
notice but it is very true because I am constantly researching new ideas and
hobbies.
-
I think something that I don’t really see as
special is the fact that I do like to learn about a lot of different subject
areas and go into depth with them. This
is something that I don’t really notice just because I do it so casually but I
think from an outside perspective, people admire this trait. I do think my interviewees are correct, but I
think something they don’t really notice much is my problem solving ability
just because I usually solve them by myself.

I think your interests and skills in the analytical and mathematical as well as the artistic is a very valuable asset that definitely sets you apart. I also think in both ways because of my background in art and design as well as my academic strengths. I think now more than ever people value the ability to come up with creative ideas and execute them in a precise, calculated manner. ReplyDeleteAlthough I can’t relate to your interest in math, I admire your mechanical work. I too have been working on my car for a few years and it is something I enjoy a lot but didn’t make my list. Being a good team player is definitely something to be proud of. Also, staying up to date with the automobile and technology world is something I pride myself on as well. Good job on the first part but get those videos up! ReplyDeleteI am also good at looking at things from another perspective. To me that makes us well rounded people. Without that quality I don’t think I would have been able to do many of the things I’ve done. As far as you liking to learn, that is a very good quality to have. That means when taught something new you actually grasp it.
